Urban Gentleman explores black elegancy, power, and intellect through the black man. For some, these concepts are seldom intertwined although they do exist. Exploiting cultural stereotypes and challenging the perception of the urban black man. 

 

HeritageMay 2017

Heritage began as a celebration of African and Caribbean cultures. We showcased the first set of countries that would go on and declare independence from colonialism around the world. 


Proud|July 2020


Are you Proud? This campaign brought together black men and women who would share thoughts on why they are proud of the African American culture. We brought together educators, doctors, creative artist, and professionals to share their reasons on why they are proud to be black.

Project CivilizationFebruary 2020

 

David Buckel. A lawyer and environmental activist who self-immolated on April 14, 2018 in Brooklyn, New York as a protest against the use of fossil fuels. His story ignited the inspiration behind ‘Project Civilization’. This project was designed to bring awareness to the environmental issues we face today.

The most feared person in history is the black women. Throughout history, black women have been one of the most marginalized groups in the world. Celebrating the power and beauty of black women we explore expressions of hair and sexuality, two spaces that are often used to oppress black women.
